Join SSO as we kick off our 2011 season: GLOBAL EXPRESSIONS with a 90th birthday celebration concert for Egyptian composer Halim El-Dabh. Featuring music from throughout his musical career including music from the Giza Pyramids Sound and Light Show, the Martha Graham ballet Clytemnestra, and perhaps a few surprises.

The SSO String Quartet will be performing a concert starting at 1:00pm featuring all types of music from the Old and New World. Come enjoy great wine and support South Shore Orchestra at our 6th Annual Summer Wine Tasting Fundraiser Event. This year's theme, "Wines from the Southern Hemisphere", will include wines from South America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Nicole Bissonnette from Bistro 157 restaurant will again be cooking up some delicious hors d'oeuvres to enjoy with the wines.

Don't miss out!! Tickets are only $40 per person or $75 per couple. All proceeds go to South Shore Orchestra and South Shore Youth Orchestras. A silent auction will also be held.

South Shore Orchestra and Conductor Troy Webdell will once again be guests of the Confucius Institute (Beijing) and embark on their 2nd 10 day New Years tour of China from December 26, 2011 - January 5, 2012 including performances in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and many more cities throughout southern China.
